Costco

I think we all have a love/hate relationship with Costco. We love it because the prices on most bulk purchases do represent savings. We hate it because most of us walk out with things we had no intention of buying. The only thing on my Costco list today was Crest Whitening Strips, but there were no strips in stock. Disappointed, I decided to take a quick look around, determined not to buy anything, just looking. Except if I was just looking, why did I have a cart? Even when I walked in to buy the strips, why did I grab a cart?

First I stopped flip through 2 magazines that are always in stock - Vogue Spain and Hola! That was satisfying and made up for no whitening strips. But did I go home? No. I next cruised the DVDs and Brothers and Sister Season 3 was in stock. I threw it in the cart, continued on, returned it to shelf, came back around again, put it in my cart, and finally put it back again. Same with pita bread. Same with cheese cake. Same with mascara. Same with a new set of sheets. I did not need any of those things. I finally ended up with body lotion which I really was out of and should have put on my list, a shrimp salad, fresh blueberries and fresh raspberries. And then I got the hell out of Costco. I didn't even stop for a strawberry yogurt sundae which is often also a part of my Costco routine.

The daily report:
B: WW toast, pb, banana, milk = 6
L: Shrimp salad with mango, grape tomatoes, lettuce, 2 t oil = 6
S: Fiber bar with pb = 5
D: 2 corn tortillas, charro beans, avo slices, pico de gallo = 7
S: Milk, yogurt, papaya smoothie = 4
Total: 28
Exercise: Walked 45 minutes

congrats on another successful week. Is that a google image of costco or does your local store actually look like that?

It is yet another google image AND my store looks like that. I learned from my image search that there appear to be about four basic store models. I know...who knew?

Thanks for the compliment. I was happy with the results of Week 2 also.
