Part 3 for Naphtali

The table runner and the small table cloth are made in the state of Hidalgo in central Mexico. Traditionally, the work is multi-colored like the runner, but one color only are becoming more popular. The small store where I purchased these examples did not have much in stock but I have a large on that I have used as a bedspread. They are all hand stitched.







Yes, more pillow cases. These are from Guatemala and are made of old "huipiles" which is what the indigenous overblouses worn by both men and women are called. They are gorgeous.

OK, that is all I have for right now. Who knows where we will go from here, but I am looking forward to feedback.

actually i've looked at this several times and i reeeaaaallly like the fabric used on the pillow on the right. (i guess i could just say i like the pillow)

I sent a couple of others of this same type. One has threads of purple running through it...thought of you and your couch. You have an in with the vendor...I am sure she would give you a good price!

Wow, they are all so beautiful- I cannot wait to see them in person. I liked the pillows too. It will be fun to see what reaction we get from people when they see them.
