And I still miss him. My passport will expire in 2013. While paging through it last week, I noted I still list John as my emergency contact. I should probably change that in the next one. (I also use the Hampton and Guadalajara addresses, too. Also need to be changed.) But oh the trips with John between June of 2003 and April of 2007...St. Barts, the Cook Islands, Paris, Costa Rica. I still have my previous passports, too. China, Hong Kong, Amsterdam, London, Ireland, Paris, Rome, Frankfurt. Then there were those trips to Hawaii... Good times. Great memories.

Five years later...

What wonderful memories you have of John! I am so glad you two took so many trips together, and didn't waste any opportunity to explore the world. How great that he didn't put off any dreams he had, but grabbed every chance to plan another trip with you. Lucky you!
i can't believe how fast the time goes. I never met him but I always felt like i knew him b/c of the friendship you had. hope you are well- haven't talked to you in awhile.
Tributes and rituals are an important part of moving on, but remembering. People such as John as part of your life history. And memories can last forever. How lucky we are to have people such as John in our lives. You are a big part of my life. Thanks.
