can we get a close up of the design on the plate and, of course, the rest of the story?? did you design them your self or simply tell a local artisan your color preferences??
The pottery was made by a well-known Mexican potter. I bought a number of pieces years ago but only have a few left because they break easily because of the way they are made....and I have moved them several times, too. I need to make a road trip to replensih. His website: http://www.gorkypottery.com/
DP: I do have a selection of cushions. Will show them in another post. I usually have some very folk arts ones from Guatemala but they did not look good with the linen tablecloth.
This blog comes to you from Mérida, Yucatán, Mexico. The world opened its treasures to me when I was a student here 30+ years ago; I have not stopped traveling since. I am now the director of that same study abroad program and am living once again in Mérida. I am where I belong.

The metal chairs and table are great. Did you design them, and are they comfortable to sit in without cushions?
